The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano.  If your a Bucs fan does this hire excite you?  Schiano did take a struggling Rutgers program and made it relevant, but for some reason this maybe a bad hire for the Bucs.  In 11 years at Rutgers Schiano had a 28-48 conference record in a weak Big East and a 68-67 overall record. Its not like Schiano's teams were having to play the LSU's of the world every week in the Big East.  If you have a losing recording in the … [Read more...]

Are the Buccaneers The Sleeper Team To Sign Nnamdi Asomugha?

Nnamdi Asomugha

A team that really hasn't been in the Nnamdi Asomugha discussion is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the Bucs could be the team that actually signs the talented corner back.  The biggest reason why the Buccaneers are real contenders in the Asomugha sweepstakes is the cap room the Buccaneers will have available to spend on free agents this off season. The last few seasons the Buccaneers really haven't spent a lot of money in free agency and signing a big name free agent would be out of character … [Read more...]

The 2010 edition of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was impressive to say the least.  They surprised the NFL by winning 10 games, but was this improvement because of the schedule or are the Buccaneers an up and coming team? I think the reason the Buccaneers won 10 games was because both the schedule and the improved play. The Buccaneers have some nice young pieces in place that should be the cornerstone for the next 5 years.   They have a franchise quarterback in Josh Freeman, a receiver in Mike … [Read more...]
