London Fletcher to the Seahawks?

Pete Carroll

The Seattle Seahawks could be in the market for a veteran linebacker since David Hawthorne signed with the Saints yesterday.  London Fletcher is still on the market and would be a great fit for the Seahawks. The current Seahawks linebackers consists of three 2nd year players in Michael Morgan, K.J Wright and Malcom Smith. All three players are talented, but very young and inexperienced.  Fletcher would be able to come in and stabilize this position with his experience. If Fletcher was OK … [Read more...]

Seahawks re-sign Marshawn Lynch to a 4 year deal

marshawn_lynch_sm

The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed running back Marshawn Lynch to a 4 year $31 million dollar deal.  $18 million of the contract is guaranteed. The Seahawks wanted to make sure they got a deal done with Lynch before Monday's franchise tag deadline.  This contract is a little high for a running back who takes a lot of hits.  The durability factor comes into play; thats why the Seahawks gave Lynch most of the money up front so if need be they could cut him in year 3 or 4. … [Read more...]

Sidney Rice Looks to return for the Seahawks in Week 3

sidney-rice-fantasy-football

The Seahawks paid Sidney Rice a lot of money to come to Seattle, but Rice has been able to see the field in the first 2 weeks, but according to the official Seahawks blog, Rice practiced on Wednesday and could possibly play Sunday when the Cardinals come to down. "He looks like he's ready to go," Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said. "His mentality is he's ready to go. He is not even thinking about anything but that. ... But we'll have to make a good decision on that when the time comes. … [Read more...]

Is Golden Tate On The Verge of Being Cut?

6227-GOLDEN-TATE_Seahawks_biography

Is Golden Tate on the verge of being cut by the Seahawks?  According to an interview on Seattle's ESPN 710am John Clayton says Tate's spot on the Seahawks roster is not guaranteed and Tate could be replaced by rookie free agent Doug Baldwin. In 3 preseason games Tate only has 4 catches for 24 yards and has looked lost at times.  Mean while Baldwin has 8 catches for 62 yards plus plus a 105 yard kick off return for a touchdown. Clayton also states just because Tate was selected in the 2nd … [Read more...]

Seahawks sign Zach Miller Away from the Raiders

zach_miller_oakland_raiders

The Seattle Seahawks have come to an agreement with tight end Zach Miller according to John Clayton.  Miller was expected to re-sign with the Oakland Raiders, but since the Raiders spent most of their money on other positions they lost out on their best pass catcher. The Seahawks continue to make great moves to improve their roster.  The Seahawks already have tight end John Carlson, but could look to move him since they now have Miller.  With the addition of Miller and also Sidney Rice; … [Read more...]

The Seahawks have signed Robert Gallery

Robert-Gallery

The Seattle Seahawks and free agent guard Robert Gallery have come to an agreement according to ESPN'S Adam Schefter.  The Seahawks had one of the NFL's worst rushing attacks last season, but with signing Gallery they are looking to change that.  This signing also reunites Gallery with ex Raider coach Tom Cable who is now the Seahawks offensive line coach. The only thing that scares me about Gallery is his ability to stay healthy.  I hope the Seahawks didnt break the bank for a player who … [Read more...]

The Seattle Seahawks have signed Matt Leinart

leinart.matt_.080708.080807.180258

What a day for the Seattle Seahawks.  First they choose to let Matt Hasselbeck leave in free agency.  Second the Seahawks signed Tarvaris Jackson to replace Hasselbeck and now they have added another quarterback to the roster in former first round pick Matt Leinart.  This is the first smart move the Seahawks have made all day.  Leinart played under now Seahawk coach Pete Carroll at USC and knows what Carroll expects.  This also reunites the deadly passing duo of Mike Williams and Matt … [Read more...]

Seattle Seahawks Sign Tarvaris Jackson

tavaris-jackson-vikings

The Matt Hasselbeck era in Seattle is over so the Seahawks are going to need to sign a veteran quarterback.   According to Dave Softy Mahler the Seahawks are going to sign former Minnesota Viking quarterback Tarvaris Jackson.  This is an downgrade for the Seahawks at the quarterback position in terms of talent.  Jackson is probably the least talented quarterback on the free agent market. I am starting to question the Seahawks general manager John Schneider who also brought in Charlie … [Read more...]

Report:Matt Hasselbeck will not be returing to the Seahawks

Matt Hasselbeck

Seattle Times Seahawks beat writer Danny O'niel is reporting the Seahawks will not be resigning Matt Hasselbeck.  Much has been speculated Hasselbeck would sign with another team to end his career, but Hasselbeck has said he wanted to end his career with the Seahawks. The Seahawks could be making a mistake by not bringing Hasselbeck back because the only quarterback they have on the roster who has NFL experience is Charlie Whitehurst.   The possible teams Hasselbeck could land with include … [Read more...]

brett_favre_vikings

If your like most football fans you thought you had seen the last of Brett Favre, but maybe the Favre nightmare continues in 2011. NFL.com wrote a piece saying that if the Seattle Seahawks do not resign Matt Hasselbeck; don’t be surprised to see Favre in a Seahawks jersey for the 2011 season. The Seahawks want to win now, but would Favre be the answer at quarterback to help them win the NFC West again?  Favre’s age showed last season with the Vikings; plus Favre would be a year older … [Read more...]
