Frank Gore thinks the 49ers run game is going to break out against the Eagles 30th ranked run defense, but Gore is unsure if he will even play this Sunday.  Gore hurt his ankle in week 3 against the Bengals and has been limited in practice this week because of it. The 49ers quarterback situation is terrible to say the least and the organization knows it can’t win with Alex Smith. A possible solution for the 49ers could be to sign recently released quarterback David Garrard. The 49ers have some nice pieces on offense, but with Smith under center the 49ers offense will continue to struggle. Michael Crabtree’s foot injury will keep him out of all the pre-season games this year, but according to Matt Maiocco of the CNSBayArea.com; Crabtree will be ready for the season opener against the Seahawks.   This is good news for the 49ers since newly acquired receiver Braylon Edwards might be suspended for the start of the season for off the field actions. Is Colin Kaepernick the San Francisco 49ers answer at quarterback?  If you look at who the 49ers had at quarterback last season, then yes Kaepernick can improve the position, but it's not hard when the quarterbacks were Alex Smith and Troy Smith. In a move that won't shock anybody, the San Fransisco 49ers have fired Mike Singletary. The Niners were eliminated from playoff contention today when they lost to the Rams. Singletary throughout the year proved he was not a great head coach  by the way his team played.  Many experts predicted the Niners to win the NFC West.
