The Oakland Raiders have hired Packers director of football operations Reggie McKenzie to be their next general manager.  This is a great move for the Raiders as they now have somebody in place to evaluate talent and make personal decisions.  Former Packer GM Ron Wolf gave his stamp of approval for McKenzie and was probably the reason the Raiders gave McKenzie the job. The injury bugged has hit the Raiders offense hard this season.  Darren McFadden is looking like he'll miss this weekends week 9 match up against the Denver Broncos according to Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times.  McFadden went down in week 7 against the Chiefs and the Raiders were hoping the week 8 bye would be enough time for McFadden to heal. According to ESPN AFC West Blogger the Oakland Raiders have apparently taken a look at signing receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh.  The Raiders want to bring in a receiver who Carson Palmer is familiar with. Palmer and Houshmandzadeh have been working out this fall before the Raiders traded for Palmer. The Oakland Raiders have traded for Seahawks outside linebacker Aaron Curry according to Fox Sports Jay Glazer.  The Raiders give up 2 conditional picks in the 2012 and 2013 draft.  Curry was the4th overall pick of the Seahawks in the 2009 NFL draft, but has panned out in the pacific north west.  The Raiders continue there trend of speed and athleticism with this trade. The Oakland Raiders came into the season riddled with injuries at the receiver position, but help is on the way.  Louis Murphy practiced for the first time this season on Wednesday and should see the field soon.  The Raiders passing attack is currently ranked 22nd in the league, but should improve with the return of Murphy who has been the Raiders most reliable receiver when he has been on the field.
