Will the Jets Sign Chad Henne to Challenge Mark Sanchez?

mark-sanchez

Will the New York Jets sign soon to be free agent Chad Henne to come in and challenge the sometimes challenged Mark Sanchez for the starting quarterback position? Omar Kelly thinks so.  The Jets just hired former Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano to be the offensive coordinator so Henne will know the system the Jets will run. This would be a great move for the Jets.  Sanchez has never had to compete for the starting job and by bringing in a guy like Henne, Sanchez will have have to up his … [Read more...]

LaDainian Tomlinson has an MCL Sprain

ladainian-tomlinson

LaDainian Tomlinson sprained his MCL at the end of last nights game against the Patriots.  The Jets haven't officially said that Tomlinson will miss Thursday game against the Broncos but if the Jets want a healthy LT for the rest of the season they should let him sit and give Joe Mcknight the call to back up Shonn Greene. … [Read more...]

The Jets Go With Plan B and Re-sign Antonio Cromartie

antonio-cromartie-jets-080111

You knew when Nnamdi Asomugha signed with the Ealges; the Jets would have to go to their plan B which was to re-sign Antonio Cromartie.  The Jets were making a huge push for Asomugha and Cromartie knows he wasn't the Jets first choice, but at this point I am sure Cromartie is happy to be a Jet again. I really thought the Jets would just let Cromartie go and let former first round pick  Kyle Wilson take over his spot, but the re-signing of Cromartie shows the Jets have no trust in Wilson. … [Read more...]

The Jets Re-sign Santonio Holmes To 5 Year Deal

Santonio-Holmes

The Jets and receiver Santonio Holmes have agreed to a 5 year deal according to Adam Schefter.  The Jets needed to re-sign either Holmes or Braylon Edwards and it looks like the Jets chose Holmes.  The Jets made the right choice in which receiver they brought back.  Even though he might cost the Jets more money; in the long run they will get more in return in terms of production from Holmes.  I still think Edwards will get a nice contract from another team looking for help at the receiver … [Read more...]

Would Terrell Owens Be A Good Fit For The New York Jets?

Terrell-Owens

Would Terrell Owens be a good Fit for the New York Jets? The Jets have 2 high profile receives that are going to be free agents in Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards. The Jets realistically can only bring back one of the two, which means they are going to need a number 2 receiver. That is where Owens comes in. The Jets can sign T.O. for cheap and get an explosive receiver who can still make plays.  Owens had 72 catches for 983 yards with 9 touchdowns for the Bengals in 2010.  The funny … [Read more...]

Do You Love or Hate The Jets?

Rex Ryan

Do you love or hate the Jets?  Do you like the way the Jets players talk to the media like they are hyping a WWE Wrestle Mania Pay Per View event?  Or how about Rex Ryan spouting out of his mouth, before the season started, calling the Jets the "Soon to be Champs".  Ryan leads the way when it comes to this arrogant, cocky attitude and the Jets players followed his lead. Some fans love Ryan's cocky attitude, while other fans think it’s a disgrace to the game.  Ryan would be a great fight … [Read more...]

Are the New York Jets A True Super Bowl Contender?

Rex Ryan

Are the New York Jets a true Super Bowl contender?  If they continue to play like they did yesterday against the Patriots, they have a great shot at winning the Super Bowl.  The key to the Jets going to Pittsburgh and beating the Steelers is quarterback Mark Sanchez. A few days ago I wrote about how Sanchez could cost the Jets a Super Bowl, but yesterday against the Patriots, Sanchez had a strong performance.  He had zero turnovers and Brian Schottenheimer put Sanchez in positions to succeed … [Read more...]

Could Mark Sanchez Cost the Jets A Superbowl?

mark-sanchez

Could Mark Sanchez cost the Jets a Superbowl?  If you take away the final drive of the Jets wild-card  win against the Colts, Sanchez play was not good.  The Jets are solid at every position except quarterback.  To win in the playoffs you need great quarterback play and the Jets are not getting it. Sanchez was 18 for 31 for 189 yards with a touchdown and a pick.  If the Jets want to beat the Patriots they have to get better play from Sanchez.  I am not sure they will.  In week 13 … [Read more...]

Are The New York Jets Getting Over Confident

large_rex-ryan416

Are the New York Jets getting over confident before the season starts?  Why does a team who barely made the playoffs last season become arrogant so fast?  I know Rex Ryan is a confident guy, but all he has done this off season is run his mouth.  If I was Ryan I would of kept my mouth shut at least until the season started. Will the Jets be hungry to win this season, when all the players hear from their coach how great they are?  After a while the players start to believe the hype of what … [Read more...]

Jets D gets Huge Boost With Kris Jenkins

The New York Jets defense last year was the best in the league and this was without there big nose guard Kris Jenkins who is set to return in 2010.  Jenkins is a huge man who on most plays will require a double team from the opposing teams offensive line. In the 3-4 defense it is requirement to have a big nose guard to be successful.  The Jets without Jenkins last year were great using that style of defense, but with Jenkins set to return in this year the defense could be flat out scary. If … [Read more...]
