Dolphins sign JP Losman

moore1

The Miami Dolphins have signed quarterback JP Losman and have placed Sage Rosenfels on the reserve/non-football injury list.   The Dolphins quarterback position has been in flux all season and now with Matt Moore going down in a rib injury and Rosenfel having health issues, the Dolphins had no choice, but to  sign the former first round pick of the Bills Losman. Last season Losman was a member of the Seattle Seahawks. … [Read more...]

Could Andy Reid Be Taking His Talents Down To The Dolphins?

Andy-Reid

For the first time in his 13 years as the Eagles head coach Andy Reid’s job security is in question after the teams 1-4 start.  If the Eagles and Reid part ways Mike Berardino of the SunSentinel.com thinks Reid could be in line to be the next Dolphins head coach if current head coach Tony Sparano gets fired. Reid has had a lot of success in his 13 years as the Eagles head coach, but maybe it is time for a change of scenery.  Even if the Eagles don’t fire Reid I still think he steps down … [Read more...]

With Henne out the Dolphins sign Sage Rosenfels

chad-henne-dolphins

The Dolphins added quarterback Sage Rosenfels to the roster today because of the season ending injury to Chad Henne.  Rosenfels will back up new starting quarterback Matt Moore.  Tuesday the Dolphins worked out Brodie Croyle and Trent Edwards, but ultimately Rosenfels got the contract.  If I'm a Dolphins fan I cant be excited about any quarterback currently on the roster, but if things keep going the way they are for the Dolphins next years roster should include one of the quarterback … [Read more...]

Larry Johnson Lands with the Dolphins

larry-johnson1

The Miami Dolphins have signed running back Larry Johnson.  The details of the deal have not been released, but this signing came out of nowhere.  The Dolphins must not have confidence in rookie running back Daniel Thomas and felt they needed to add a veteran like Johnson to come in and share some of the workload. The Dolphins now have Johnson, Thomas and Reggie Bush in the backfield.  Last season Johnson was signed by the Redskins, but only played in 2 games before the Redskins released … [Read more...]

The Dolphins Signing Clinton Portis Would Make Senses

clinton-portis3

The Miami Dolphins traded for Reggie Bush this season, but they still need a running back who can run between the tackles.  Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel thinks the Dolphins should sign Clinton Portis to be the guy who runs the ball up the gut.  Portis is not a young pup but he would be a great fit for the Dolphins. The Dolphins did draft Daniel Thomas from Kansas State to be the power back, but that's putting a lot of pressure on an unproven rookie.   Even if Portis only … [Read more...]

4 reasons why the Dolphins need to trade for Tim Tebow

Tim-Tebow-Broncos-NFl

The Miami Dolphins need a quarterback in the worst way and George Diaz of the Sun-sentinel.com wrote yesterday about how the Dolphins need to trade for Tim Tebow. This move would make sense for both teams.  Here are my 4 reasons why this trade needs to happen. The Broncos are going with Kyle Orton in 2011.  This move shows the Broncos new regime doesn’t think Tebow is a starting quarterback in the NFL, and just because the Broncos used a first round pick on Tebow doesn’t mean he should … [Read more...]

Reggie Bush Traded to the Dolphins

Reggie-Bush

The Miami Dolphins have made a trade for Saints running back Reggie Bush.  The Saints were looking to unload Bush because of his huge salary he was due this year.  Bush was set to make 11.8 million dollars this season with the Saints.  The Dolphins will restructure Bush's contract.  This is a great trade for both teams.  The Saints get ride of a ton of cap money and the Dolphins get a dynamic playmaker. … [Read more...]

Could Mike Sims-Walker End Up With the Dolphins?

Mike Sims walker

I think its safe to say Mike Sims-Walker time playing for the Jaguars is finished, but where is Sims-Walker next stop?  Could Sims-Walker end up with the Miami Dolphins where he would be reunited with his former Central Florida teammate Brandon Marshall.  The receiving duo of Sims-Walker and Marshall would be hard for opposing defenses to stop.  The missing part in the Dolphins passing game if Sims-Walker did sign with the Dolphins would be the quarterback. In reality the only way  the … [Read more...]

Brandon Marshall Again In The News

vert16_Dolphins_SPTS_JSP.embedded.prod_affiliate.56

Miami Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall is once again in the news for an off the field incident.  Marshall was stabbed by his wife last night and is currently recovering at a Ft Lauderdale hospital.  I wonder what happened?  Marshall and his wife have a long list of domestic disputes, but had been getting along the last few years. When the Broncos were looking to trade Marshall, the biggest knock on him was his off the field issues.   This scared teams away from wanting to trade for the … [Read more...]

Does Vince Young to the Miami Dolphins Make Senses?

Vince-Young

Does Vince Young to the Miami Dolphins make senses?  The other day I wrote that Donavon McNabb might be a good fit with the Dolphins, but a comment left on the blog made that point that Vince Young would be a better fit.  I have to agree that Young would be a better fit for the Dolphins compared to McNabb. Even though Young isn’t your prototypical pro-style offense QB, he still has the ability to make plays when his mind is in the right place.  The Titans have already said they are done … [Read more...]
