The Houston Texans can't buy a break this season.  When Starter Matt Schaub went down a few weeks ago the Texans had faith that backup Matt Leinart could come in and lead them to the promise land.  Well so much for that.  Leinart broke his collarbone Sunday against the Jaguars and will miss the rest of the season.  Leinart had a good start to this game completing 10 of 13 passes for 57 yards before he went down with the injury. The Houston Texans have officially announced that wide receiver Andre Johnson will not play in their week 7 match up against the Tennessee Titans.  The Texans were hoping Johnson's hamstring would have healed enough for Johnson to play in this important AFC South match up.  Right now the Texans are going with Jacoby Jones, Kevin Jones and Derrek Mason at receiver. Both the Texans and Seahawks have a problem at the outside linebacker position.  The Texans problem is they’ve lost Mario Williams for the season and don’t have a linebacker to replace him with.  The Seahawks problem is they have an outside linebacker in Aaron Curry they are not happy with and looking to trade him. Just when the Texans thought they had all the pieces necessary to make a playoff run the injury to Andre Johnson could put a damper on this run.  The Texans are unsure on how long Johnson will be out and much of the offense revolves around Johnson and his big play ability. Yesterday reports were coming out that Matt Leinart had signed with the Seattle Seahawks, but today we are getting a different story.  John Mclain of the Houston Chronicle is reporting Leinart has re-signed with the Houston Texans not the Seahawks.  Leinart was Matt Schuab's back up this past season and I guess he wants to continue to be a back up quarterback. Is Wade Phillips the guy to get the Houston Texans in the playoffs?  If you look at how the Texans played defense last season, anybody could go in there and improve that unit’s performance.  Phillips is a well respected defense coordinator whose track record speaks for it self. Whats happened to the Houston Texans?  Maybe the curse of the Texans is true and this team will never make the playoffs.  After a great start to the season the Texans have fallen under %500. Yesterdays loss to the Jaguars on the last play of the game was a heart breaker.  I am not sure the Texans can bounce back and make the playoffs now.
