The Kyle Orton era is over in Denver.  The Broncos have officially waived the quarterback.  This comes at no surprise since the team named Tim Tebow as the starter a few weeks ago.  A few teams that might claim Orton include the Bears and the Texans. The Denver Broncos will be without running back Willis McGahee for the next 4 weeks.  McGahee broken the fourth metacarpal bone in his right hand in the 3rd quarter of Sundays win against the Dolphins.  Before the injury McGahee had rushed for 76 yards on 18 carries.  Knowshon Moreno will now be the featured back until McGahee returns. … [Read more...]

The Rams have traded for Broncos receiver Brandon Lloyd according to NFL.com.  The Rams have receivers have struggled this year and the Broncos were looking to unload Lloyd who is in the last year of his current contract.  The details of the trade have not been released at this point.  I am sure the Broncos got at least a 6th round pick for Lloyd. Broncos head coach John Fox has stood by starting quarterback Kyle Orton the entire season, but if the Broncos keep losing when does Fox make the switch to Tim Tebow? The Denver Post is reporting the Denver Broncos have officially put Kyle Orton on the trading block. This move shouldn't surprise anybody as the Broncos are going to give Tim Tebow the keys to the offense; plus Orton is due to make $7.3 million which would be expensive for a backup quarterback. The Denver Broncos did the right thing by firing Josh McDaniels today.  McDaniels was running the Broncos into the ground and Pat Bowlen couldn't stand to watch his team get any worse.  It will take years for the Broncos to overcome what Mcdaniels did in his year and a half running the team.  He traded away the Broncos young talent and replaced them with mediocre talent that McDaniels thought he could win with.
