While driving home yesterday The Petros and Money Show had USC football head coach Lane Kiffin on.  I only listen for about 30 seconds before I started to think "Lane Kiffin is full of crap".  Kiffin kept on saying that things are great over at USC and that they are the only team in the country that can stay strong after being put on sanctions for the next 3 years last week. I just read on ESPN bottom scroller that USC gets banned for 2 years from the post season.  They also lose the 2004 national championship plus scholarships get taken away. I mean this is a big lose for this program.  I guess Pete Carroll knew this was coming and that's why he left town.  I don't really agree with punishing players that are on the roster right now for things that happened 6 years ago. Are all USC wide Receivers busts in the NFL?  That is a tough question to ask.  Some of the receivers that USC has turned out in the last 9 years have turned out to be busts, while some who were not expected to do much in the NFL have turned out to be pretty good. After watching a Video of USC freshmen Dillon Baxter I came away just saying wow.  This guy is a play maker.   They only showed 1 play, but  it was awesome.   The Pac 10 better watch out for the next Reggie Bush.  Even though its only spring and the defense was probably 2nd stringers it was still a great run.  If you can make any division 1 athlete look bad especially guys from a football factory such as USC then you got talent. Just watching the USC versus UCLA and a funny thing just happened. Pete Carroll last week was complaining that Stanford ran up the score and I just watched USC score a late touchdown that didnt need to be scored.  Pete Carroll is a hypocrite for complaining about his team getting beat bad by Stanford the week before and then comes out and does this?  The UCLA players came out on the field to say what the heck was that?  This a classless move by Carroll.  He could of just ran down the clock … [Read more...]
