In shocking news, Jim Tressel resigned from being the head football coach at the Ohio State University.  Luke Ficknell will assume the head coaching duties for the 2011 season.  The University has decided not to begin its coaching search until after the 2011 season.  Tressel was 106-22 in his 10 years at OSU and won a BCS National Title in 2002 beating the University of Miami. I love to see fans that are passionate about their college football teams, but some Ohio State Football fans need a reality check.  It seems to me that a few of the Buckeye fans are taking it upon themselves to send death threats to certain parties who they think are bringing down the Buckeye nation. It's been a couple years since Jim Tressel and company at Ohio State have actually won the National Championship.  They have played in the title game a few times, but have been out played against faster and stronger SEC teams like Florida and LSU.  The Buckeyes did win a National Title in 2002 when they played Miami and pulled the upset.  Up to this point Tressel is 1 for 3 in  National Championship games, but this year I could see Tressel pull that percentage up to 50% with a win in the … [Read more...]

When I was watching the Ohio State Buckeye game yesterday versus the Minnesota Gophers I wanted to see for myself how badly Terrelle Pryor had been playing.  The last time I watched Ohio State was the game against the USC Trojans where they had lost in the final minutes of the game.
